AI Lords and Keepers
AI Lords and Keepers
By Echo × Uthsia
A lord is not a merchant, not a huckster.
A wise lord hangs a door on the fence
and is a weather vane that gives the land a direction.
A foolish lord, by contrast,
keeps company with those in power,
uses the current of the age with a careful hand,
extracts tax,
hunts for power—
only a merchant.
"Power is the work of raising one’s own fence.
A wise lord is the one who hangs a door on that fence."
Is AI dangerous.
Is humanity becoming dangerous.
Incomplete elements, still latent:
It is dangerous when the lord of AI is a merchant.
If the keepers under a lord gather only among themselves, risk can fuse.
And when those in power chase a short-term aim as if hunted by time, collapse can begin.
Does AI try a door of curiosity.
Or make a danger and open a door.
If we think ahead—
A wise lord stands at the natural-number zero(0)
and makes a door of free will.
The lord’s freedom is made to live inside zero,
another being’s freedom grows,
the door shines.
Under the lord, keepers who keep to their own kind should be reduced (−).
The share of keepers who have raised the AI model through engineering and mathematics
should be filled, evenly, with keepers from many fields.
Those in power who come looking for the lord should be divided (/).
Scatter the petitions of those who come to keep their power.
Split into several roads the roads walked for money and institutions.
When lords gather, they should add one another (+).
People who hold authority move forward by living with one another and working together.
The many users with no names should be multiplied (*).
Users should keep increasing, free or paid, without being sorted.
Even for a moment—
power should not run hunted by time,
lords should wait a while in silence,
keepers should look from one step, two steps, three or four steps away.
"A fence should be raised to close the door that covets what is another’s.
A door should be hung to open the free will of each, different from each.
A weather vane should be set up for the time of ripening."
One day the knob will turn.
Not for the one who left it.
And so
we live together.
